“Best Evidence” Databases

A snapshot of the most recent “best evidence” at your finger tips

The team at Spectrum provides content for comprehensive “Best Evidence” Databases. These databases are a complete searchable compendium of recent biomedical research in specific specialty areas. The combination of our experience and attention to detail ensures that our clients have a unique and valuable reference for quickly finding the “best evidence”. Studies are graded by quality of evidence, custom catalogued and provide a concise and brief overview of recent biomedical research.

AO Traumaline™ is an example of a “best-evidence” database that we can create to serve our client’s special needs. This searchable database contains a snapshot of thousands of recently published research articles related to orthopedic trauma including studies on treatment of fractures and prognosis. Each study is graded according to quality, making it easy to search for the “best evidence” on a given topic. In addition to the quality of evidence, information about the study population, intervention and pertinent results from each study are available, at a glance, making this user-friendly data base a valuable tool for clinicians, researchers and other interested parties.

Other databases currently being developed include such specialty areas as the spine and total joint replacement. Click here for an example of a similar database.

Spectrum’s Best-Evidence Databases and Evidence-Based Practice reports go hand in hand in assuring clients have ready access to the evidence they need for decision making.
